Couplers, dump adaptors and caps can cause wear to
the diameter and rear contact face of loading adaptors.
A worn loading adaptor can cause an incorrect
connection and product leakage.
The wear gauge helps you check the condition of the
adaptor. It will show:
• if the loading adaptor diameter is under-size.
• if the loading adaptor diameter is over-size (caused
by de-lamination of the steel on the rear contact
face).
• if there is too much wear to the rear contact face.
• if the wear is less than the permitted limit and the
loading adaptor is satisfactory.
The wear gauge is also compatible with the Fort Vale
coupler parking nose, part no. 94/25PC
